Can anybody help out?
I'm after a wiring diagram for my 250 EXC-F (2012, so same as 2013 I think).
Also looking to get the workshop / repair manual for the bike.
Thanks in advance

Hi sorry to resurrect and hijack but I am looking for 2012 XCF & EXCF manuals / wiring diagrams as I want to fit lights to my 250 XCF.
I have done a 300 XC before. but sold it and gave all the diagrams with it !
I have tried all possible actions I can but I am unable to download the manuals from the link on above - file is too big or just empty. driving me nuts !
anyone out there able to help ?
I think any wiring diagram from a four stroke injection will do - probably even 2-strokes same wiring up front end ?
Cheers

Just feed the lighting loom from the battery. Fit a fuse as close (physically) as you can to the battery terminal.
Bear in mind that it's essentially a motocross stator on your bike so the output is limited (maybe 30 watts or so).

cheers, always a risk of someone leaving them on so was looking at doing same as I did last time, I took a live from after the rectifier somewhere ? I think it was an orange stripe wire ? I will have a play with a voltmeter & find a supply or maybe just sod it & take the easy battery route.
I was hoping to make the job as easy as possible
I bought an ignition (key) switch too but can't really see anywhere suitable to fit it - anyone else bothered to fit one to an XCF ?

Have sent PM.
Thanks very much
wife & kids out for a bit swimming so I am going to crack on with it tonight - I think this bike is a keeper so might as well do the thing right.

I have an LED rear light & to be honest I won't be riding at night so it's just for the odd dim morning or evening / mist etc. I did the same job on my 2013 300XC and that went fine through the winter with the standard stator etc. I vaguely remember looking up part numbers and I think it was the same as the EXC anyway on the 300. I might do a part search and check on this 250XCF - interesting to see if they just stick the same one in the XCf & EXCf and if it's different to the SXf
Big mug of tea and glasses on !

XCF and SXF are the same and totally different from the set up on a two stroke or a four stroke EXC.
You probably have around 30 watts total electrical power on the XCF - that's for battery charging, fuel pump, FI and anything else you want to do.
Four stroke efi EXC has over 100 watts. Two stroke EXC/XC has a 30 watt system for battery charging and a 35ish watt system for lights.
If you have a kickstart a flat battery isn't the end of the world but if it's button only you could end up stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Be careful how much you try and draw from the electrical system. An uprated Trail Tech stator is available but if you're going to be a very occassional lights user you might find better ways to spend £115.
